Group support

We have group support available for women, young women and friends and family members. We aim to provide a safe and inclusive space where survivors of sexual violence can work towards recovery, drawing on strength and support from other survivors or families coming to terms with similar issues.

Our group support service is available for people who have had face to face sessions at our centre or another centre. We can also consider you for one of our groups if you have had counselling about your experiences. For more information call us on 08088 00 00 14 or speak to your support worker.

Rape and sexual assault support group Group eval

Group support for survivors of rape or sexual assault runs for 10 sessions. It is a facilitated group that has a structured program of work to help women move to the next stage of recovery from sexual violence. It is available for women who have experienced rape at any time in their life.

Friends and family group

If you are a friend or family member of a female survivor of sexual violence and you want more support following your sessions at the centre, you could access our group that’s tailored to helping you to cope and process your feelings, as well as helping you provide the best support for the survivor. This group has a special emphasis on peer support, but is structured and facilitated. We run this group alongside the young women’s group so that parents and families can have support at the same time in another venue close by the centre.

Young women’s group

This group is facilitated by our ROSEY workers and is available for young women and girls aged 13 and over who have had face to face support around the issues of sexual violence they have experienced. It is a structured program of group support aimed at young people.
