Glasgow & Clyde Rape Crisis (GCRC) provides support and advocacy services to women and girls from age 13 years who are survivors of any form of sexual violence, abuse or sexual exploitation, no matter when this has happened in their lives.
GCRC are starting a new Volunteer training programme at the end of August 2021. We are looking for women to support survivors of sexual violence on our Connect Live helpline.
We are committed to ensuring that our volunteers reflect survivors within the communities that we serve and actively encourage older, BME, disabled women & women from the LGBTI community to apply.
You must have availability around the hours of 10.15am to 2.15pm and/or 5.15pm until 7.45pm. If you have any questions or to arrange an information appointment please contact us at email@example.com We are a woman only service, covered by the occupational requirement exemption under the Equality Act 2010.
Potential volunteers will then be asked to complete and return an application form by the 18th of August. This will be followed by an Assessment Day on Sunday the 22nd of August from 10am until 4pm.
Training starts on Sunday the 5th of September and will be on Sundays 10am until 4pm and Mondays 6pm until 9pm for at least 14 weeks.
